As educators that work with diverse populations, being aware of personal biases is important to working equitably with all children and families. This workshop will explore the implicit biases that exist, yet we are unaware of. Participants will learn more about the brain science behind bias, the impact that stereotypes have on our interactions with others, and ways that begin exploring our own implicit biases. Through discussion and self-reflection, participants will begin the journey to self-awareness.
