This is an evidence-based nutrition curriculum with gardening proven to increase exposure to fresh fruits and vegetables while building skills for kindergarten readiness. Through engagement with seasonal fruits and vegetables children learn math, science, language, social and environmental literacy concepts. Join us as we dive into lessons in small groups to experience the curriculum and explore familiar and new varieties of fruits and vegetables and learn the basics of gardening with preschoolers. This 2 hour training will be filled with hands-on activities, informative handouts, and provide you with opportunities to engage with nutrition and garden lessons!
